Debt: So when you're about to get executed and your bff's safety is uncertain, who are you gonna call? Well, it's more like "whose deal are you going to accept in order to make sure your bff gets out of the castle from hell alive?", but still. As time goes on, though, she'll probably just remain there because it beats going home and being burned to a cinder. Seriously, ow. She may also ask about learning to shapeshift to a humanoid form just to see what the big deal is.

History:
"Once, there was a lonely individual. Unable to bear his solitude, he made a kingdom solely for himself. He became the king of the land... A kingdom needs a castle for its king...So the king made one right in the center. This is that castle...But there was nothing inside the castle. It was just a world of nothingness. The king pondered. And he made seven Mogekos. These were...the special Mogekos. They were put on each floor, to serve as that floor's guardian...Then the king made many more Mogekos, and the land became much busier. The king looked upon it, and was very satisfied. That was the genesis of Mogeko Castle."
... Well, that's how Defect Mogeko says the castle came into existence, and her along with it. Defect Mogeko - originally called Nega Mogeko - is the so-called king's opposite and equal, and the guardian of the seventh and final floor of the Castle. Somehow, King mogeko failed to notice that his opposite was actually female in this AU. Now, your average Mogeko (who shares a hive mind with all others except defectors and the seven floor guardians) is crude, selfish, unbelievably stupid, and...there's no getting around it...perfectly okay with forcing himself on a girl even if she really does not consent at all.
So basically, Nega Mogeko dodged a very unpleasant bullet by being mistaken for male. For a time, she lived contently as King mogeko's opposite... However, she eventually began to see that the normal Mogeko way of doing things was just plain wrong. She confronted King mogeko about it, and was promptly labeled as defective and thrown in the fourth-floor dungeons to await execution. She remained there due to Mogeko stupidity ensuring that she was never actually executed. Still, one can assume it was a deeply traumatic experience, considering that she received several scars and lost one of her ears during her time there. After a long enough time, she even considered not fighting anymore, since there was no way to remove the ball and chain attached to her ankle.
That's when Yonaka Kurai, a human and new arrival to the castle, was thrown into her cell. Introductions commenced, though Nega Mogeko didn't let on anything about her true identity. Yonaka, thankfully, just called her "Defect Mogeko" instead thanks to her describing herself as such.
Yonaka also had the key to Defect Mogeko's shackles, courtesy of the Prosciutto Fairy - that is, one of Defect Mogeko's fellow floor guardians.
Defect Mogeko was promptly set free and chose to aid Yonaka in her journey to escape the castle and get home. Thanks to the absolute lack of logic the Castle runs on, this meant getting to the seventh floor and escaping to Yonaka's home world through there. The front door had already been forbidden thanks to the hordes of Mogekos gathering there - going back would've been insane, to say the least. All they could do was go up, which was a harrowing experience to say the least. They met the guardians of the remaining floors, including the fourth floor guardian, Hasu, who was Defect Mogeko's dearest friend. Unfortunately, they found him crucified and near death courtesy of Moge-ko, a particularly psychotic humanoid female Mogeko. There was no saving him, but he was able to help them escape the fourth floor before expiring.
The chase continued until the end of the sixth floor. The sixth floor guardian, Mogecuckoo, was more than willing to help out, and was just about to warp them to the seventh floor... Unfortunately, King mogeko himself sabotaged the warp, stranding them on floor six and leaving Mogecuckoo terribly injured. Despite being so badly injured, Mogecuckoo still told them to keep going, and after apologizing, Defect Mogeko ran with Yonaka.
King mogeko was determined to keep them from getting away, and at the very end of the sixth floor, he made an appearance in order to shoot Defect Mogeko with a gun. God only knows where he was keeping it, but it did the trick: Defect Mogeko might not have died immediately, but her injuries were fatal. She managed to use tear gas on him in order to spirit herself and Yonaka to a temporary safety, but she knew she wouldn't survive. However, her blood (which had gotten all over Yonaka's outfit) would cover Yonaka's own scent, which meant that the other Mogekos couldn't sniff her out.
She could also buy Yonaka the time necessary to get to the seventh floor...to her floor. Before parting ways with the human girl one last time, she told Yonaka her story, because after all she'd been through, she deserved to know what was going on...or at least as much of it as Defect Mogeko could tell her.
She thanked Yonaka for having given her a reason to keep trying despite everything, and after finally convincing her to leave, went back out of their hiding place to confront the other Mogekos...and mogeko. The two opposites dueled, and for a time it seemed like Defect Mogeko would have the upper hand: she'd disarmed her counterpart and stuck both her sword and his own into the jerk's stomach. However, he was not so easily disposed of, and Defect found this out the hard way when she tried to pull the swords back out. Turns out her opposite was, unlike her, some kind of cyclopean eldritch abomination from beyond time and space. Or something, the jury's still out on what the hell that meant.
The point is, he managed to knock her out and tied her to a stake. After a final, brief conversation where no reconciliations were made or even attempted, he ordered Defect Mogeko to be executed once and for all by burning at the stake.
... There was no escape for her, of course.
... Did you really think there would be a happy ending for everyone, moge?
Personality:
Upon first being met, Defect Mogeko seems to be very aloof and not easily fazed, nor does she seem particularly moved by Yonaka's plight. Initially, she even claims to be helping Yonaka solely because she's bored. As the game progresses, however, it becomes obvious that this is actually a shell of sorts, a way of coping with being imprisoned and vulnerable for so long. Judging by in-game dialogue, she was evidently on good terms with her fellow floor guardians, especially Hasu, who - at least in this AU - was the only one of them who actually knew she was a girl. Her grief over his death was made worse by this shared secret, by the fact that he kept it until the end. He was a loyal friend, and she misses him dearly as a result.
On that note, being a female in a castle where women are, uh, regularly raped to death has done its own damage to her head. She fully intends to pass as a boy for the rest of her life because she knows damn well what will happen otherwise. She is also really scared of her gender being revealed for the same reason. Entering into a romantic relationship is, for the time being, beyond her as a result. Intimate physical contact beyond patting on the head and maybe cuddles is intimidating for her. While she can care deeply about others, all she knows about love and sex are what she's seen in the porn around the castle...and also the fearful, pained screams of the girls that she's no doubt heard as well.
For her, the first moment of dissension was when she couldn't stand hearing those screams anymore. It was a slow thing, with her firs realizing that she was more like the victims than the perpetrators, and then realizing that she hated how things were in the castle. She didn't know if there could even be alternatives, but she knew that the way things were was wrong. Hurting others for no reason other than pleasure was wrong - though she seemed to be the only one to realize it.
For the record, she doesn't fear her fellow Mogekos, even if they are the perpetrators of these atrocities. She's actually biased against them, considering the average Mogeko to be a sex-crazed moron. ... She's not wrong, for what it's worth. Maybe it's less bias and more being a decent judge of character? That said, she does tend to underestimate enemies, sometimes. She considered the main strength of the Mogekos to be their numbers, and thought their King to be not so different - it never occurred to her that maybe the creator of the castle wasn't entirely mortal...
On a side note, for all that she is not like average Mogeko, she still has some similarities to them. To be more precise, she has the Mogeko fondness for prosciutto. She isn't as crazy over it as the others, but she will not turn it down if someone offers it to her.

She may also ask about learning to shapeshift to a humanoid form just to see what the big deal is.
So, in friendly bullet point form:
1) Make sure Yonaka gets out of Mogeko Castle alive.
2) Not returning home to horrible demise.
3) Shapeshifting at will into humanoid form.

Inventory: Nothing at time of death. Before being caught and executed, however, she once possessed a katana and a grenade launcher.
Abilities:
- Skilled at sword usage.
- Knowledge of grenade launcher operation.
- Small furry creature. This means she is adorable and also does not need clothing to keep warm, though she probably will wear it if told to.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
+ Physically strong and fast. To be more specific: strong enough to wield a grenade launcher bigger than she is, and fast enough to cut down a horde of Mogekos in a single screen transition.
+ Tough enough to take serious physical punishment. Probably only got tougher after her stint in jail.
+ At least average intelligence, which is definitely a strength in the land of the stupid.
Weaknesses:
- Short. We're talking barely shoulder-height to Yonaka Kurai here, and Yonaka is presumably not that tall. This means tall people and shelves are the enemy.
- Squat. All Mogekos have a very round figure, which means squeezing through tight spaces will be difficult.
- Mortal. She can take a beating, yes, but eventually she will falter and tire, and with enough injury, she will die.
- Missing her right ear. I assume this means she has some trouble hearing on that side.
- As noted in the personality section, she is scared of being outed as female.
